Article 1 · Parties

1.2 Buyer: the natural or legal person who completes the registration form and pays on https://econworld.org. The buyer's name, address, e-mail address and billing details are those given at registration and appear in the confirmation e-mail.
Article 2 · Subject
This contract sets out the rights and obligations of the parties, under Turkish Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection and the Distance Contracts Regulation, for the sale and provision of registration for Econburgh 2027 · XVIII EconWorld Conference, bought electronically by the buyer on the seller's website https://econworld.org.
Article 3 · Service, price and payment
3.1 Service: attendance on 17 August 2027–19 August 2027 at St Leonard's Hall, University of Edinburgh (18 Holyrood Park Road, Edinburgh EH16 5AY, United Kingdom) for the participant(s) registered by the buyer, and the services included in the chosen fee. The type of registration, the participants, extras and the total price are shown at checkout and in the confirmation e-mail.
3.2 Price: the total shown at checkout. VAT is included where it applies: 20% Turkish VAT for buyers resident in Türkiye; no VAT for buyers abroad (export of services). No other taxes, charges or delivery costs are added.
3.3 Payment: in full, by card on the 3-D Secure payment page of iyzico or by bank transfer; no instalments. Card details never reach the seller.
Article 4 · Provision of the service
4.1 The service is provided at the venue on the conference dates. The registration is confirmed when the payment is received; the confirmation and a receipt are e-mailed to the buyer. Attendance documents (invitation letter, registration confirmation, certificate of attendance) are issued electronically; nothing is shipped.
4.2 The programme, speakers and session times may change. Any change of venue or date is notified to the buyer at once.
Article 5 · Right of withdrawal
As the service relates to an event held on a specific date, Article 15(1)(ğ) of the Distance Contracts Regulation is reserved. The seller nevertheless lets the buyer cancel without giving reasons under Article 6.
Article 6 · Cancellation and refunds
6.1 The buyer may cancel at any time from "Manage my submission", from the registration link or in writing to econburgh@gmail.com. The refund depends on the date the request reaches the seller:

6.2 Refunds are paid within 14 days of approval by the original payment method: card payments to the same card, bank transfers to the account given by the buyer. How soon a card refund appears depends on the card issuer.
6.3 A participant may be replaced free of charge until the conference starts by writing to the seller; for accepted papers the new participant must be one of the authors.
6.4 If the seller cancels or postpones the conference, the buyer may choose a full refund or, when offered, a transfer to the new dates. If the conference moves online, buyers who do not wish to attend online are refunded in full. The seller is not liable for travel or accommodation costs.
6.5 Visa applications are the buyer's responsibility; an invitation letter does not guarantee a visa. A visa refusal is handled under the refund table above.
Article 7 · Obligations of the parties
7.1 The buyer confirms that the details given at registration are correct and that they have read and accepted this contract and the Pre-contractual information electronically. 7.2 The seller provides the service in line with this contract and the published description. 7.3 A participant who seriously disrupts the conference may be excluded without refund.
Article 8 · Force majeure
If the conference cannot take place because of events beyond the parties' control (natural disaster, epidemic, war, decisions of the authorities), Article 6.4 applies.
Article 9 · Personal data
The buyer's personal data are processed under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data as described in the Privacy notice.
Article 10 · Disputes
Consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts of the buyer's place of residence or of the transaction have jurisdiction, within the monetary limits set each year by the Ministry of Trade. For buyers who are not consumers (for example institutions paying the fee), the courts and enforcement offices of Eskişehir have jurisdiction.
Article 11 · Entry into force
The buyer accepts this contract electronically by ticking the box at checkout; it enters into force when the payment is completed. The date and time of acceptance and the contract version are recorded by the seller. This text can be read at any time on this page and through the registration link, and is e-mailed on request.
